Egypt’s NIGSD runs interactive distance learning webinar entitled “Leaving No One Behind”

The "Tanmia" network of the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development (NIGSD), the training arm of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, held recently an interactive distance learning seminar (webinar) in English for the graduates of the Institute from African leaders who participated in the various training programs of the Institute.
The seminar is entitled "Leaving no one behind, as one of the principles of effective governance" for sustainable development".
Executive Director of NIGSD, indicated that the webinar addressed several topics, including the definition of the main dimensions of effective governance according to the United Nations Committee of Experts on Public Administration, and the meaning of leaving no one behind, based on the experience of each country and organization represented in the webinar.
The webinar also tackled the meaning of social justice and how it is applied in different African countries as well as the experiences and policies applied in this regard were exchanged, highlighting the challenges and obstacles to implementation on the ground.
On her part, Dr. Hanan Rizk, Director of the African Development Center and Head of the African Training Network at the Institute (Tanmia), said that this interactive webinar was attended by 120 participants, including 45 Egyptians and 75 Africans, most of them women.
The webinar was presented by Dr. Susan Abbe, Professor of Public Administration and Politics at Rockefeller College of Public Affairs, New York, USA, and an expert on NGOs.
The webinar was moderated by Dr. Hanan Rizk.
