Planning Ministry delegation continues its tour in Egypt’s Governorates to follow up automation of gov’t services

The
delegation of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development in charge of
the Localities Development Project continued its tour in the various
governorates to follow up the progress of work and inspected the training
process on the applications of the e-Local Services Portal.
The
delegation visited the governorates of Qalyubia, Minya, South Sinai, and Qena.
Dr. Hala
El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development emphasized that the
ministry's role in developing the performance of government services,
simplifying procedures for obtaining them, and providing better to the Egyptian
citizen.
She noted
that this role stems from the pillar of transparency and efficiency of
government institutions in the sustainable development agenda "Egypt
Vision 2030".
El-Said
pointed out that the automation and development of local services provided to
citizens come within the framework of advancing the services provided to
citizens at the level of governorates and localities through centers, cities,
neighborhoods, and various entities.
This can happen by establishing service delivery outlets while creating an appropriate environment for the performance of government services commensurate with service recipients and providers, and establishing the values of integrity and transparency.
The
automation of services also comes in light of the important role of the
Ministry of Planning and Economic Development in the phase of building Egypt to
achieve economic and social development and accelerate the transformation of
the state’s economy into an entity based on science, knowledge, and technology.
During its
tour, the delegation of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development
visited Qalyubia Governorate, where a meeting was held at the province’s
general office, with the honor of Major General Abdel Hamid Al Hajjan, Governor
of Qalyubia, in the presence of the Deputy Governor, Mr. General Secretary and
heads of city councils (Banha - Tukh - West Shubra El Kheima - East Shubra El
Khaima - Qaha - Kafr Shukr) and managers of the technology centers in the
governorate.
The tour of
the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development delegation also included a
visit to Minya Governorate, where the activation of the governorate's local
portal was followed up to avoid the accumulation of citizens, especially in
light of the presence of the Coronavirus, and the tour also included a visit to
the Governorate of South Sinai, where all the cities of the governorate were
developed and enabled in February 2019.
The retraining of workers in all cities of the
province is ongoing for two months.
It includes
the cities of Sharm El-Sheikh, Al-Tur, Abu Dis, Abu Dhanaima, Saint Catherine,
Dahab, to introduce new updates on the electronic system of the citizen's
services program and solve any technical problems.
The training plan includes the number of training days and hours in each city of South Sinai Governorate, which will continue to be implemented until the end of this month. 195 hours, Abu Znima city, 11 days, 143 hours, Dahab, 30 working days, 390 hours, Saint Catherine, 10 days, 190 hours, Ras Sidr, 11 days, 143 hours, and the total number of working days is 158 working days during the return period The total number of training hours is 2054 working hours.
Training takes place in two shifts during the day, morning and evening, and this training was previously implemented during 2018.
The
delegation of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, during its
tour of the governorates, visited the governorate of Qena, where a meeting was
held in the province’s general office with the heads of centers and cities in
the governorate to explain the Ministry of Finance’s controls to be applied in
cities.
