Egypt's Initiative for Smart Green Projects witnesses unprecedented participation

Ambassador Hisham Badr, General Coordinator of the National Initiative for Smart Green Projects, said that the positive and intensive work that has been done at the level of all governorates; reflects the extent of awareness of the importance of the initiative and what it offers in the context of the seriousness of dealing with the environmental dimension and climate change.
This came during the conference announcing the results of the six winning projects in the initiative in the governorates of Alexandria, Beheira, and Matrouh, which was held today in the Alexandria governorate, in the presence of Major General Mohamed Al-Sharif, Governor of Alexandria, Dr. Deputy Governor of Matrouh.
Ambassador Hisham Badr thanked the governors of Alexandria, Beheira, and Matrouh for the effort exerted since the launch of the initiative and the full support of the executive committees in the governorates, which made an extraordinary effort, starting with the training phase and attending training workshops held by the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development within the framework of the initiative.
Ambassador Hisham Badr also congratulated the 18 winning projects in the governorates of Alexandria, Beheira, and Matrouh, stressing that these projects provide "Egyptian solutions" to problems and climate issues, explaining that the winning projects will be announced in all governorates in turn..
Ambassador Hisham Badr stressed that the initiative provides empowerment to all governorates of Egypt and access to various social and geographical groups, in addition to spreading societal awareness about the challenges of climate change and the capabilities of modern technologies.
The initiative also aims to integrate all segments of society in finding solutions to climate and environmental change challenges.
