The Egypt Award for Gov't Excellence announced the statistics and figures for the award’s third evaluation cycle 2022, which was completed last August, in preparation for announcing the final results soon.



H.E. Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, said that the aim of launching the Egypt Award for Gov't Excellence is to stimulate the spirit of competition and excellence at the level of employees on the one hand, and at the level of government institutions on the other hand, and work to motivate employees to improve performance levels.


The Minister of Planning and Economic Development praised the conscious and distinguished participation of institutions, government units, governorates, and universities, and the efforts made in the work of the third session of the award this year.



For his part, Eng. Khaled Mostafa, Permanent Undersecretary of the Ministry of Planning and General Supervisor of the Egypt Award for Governmental Excellence, stressed that the award aims to encourage competition between government institutions at all national, local, and regional levels, and achieve better rates of citizen satisfaction.

Mostafa pointed out that the total number of applications for a candidacy that were evaluated during the third cycle of the Egypt Award for Government Excellence reached 2,065, and that the total number of participating residents reached 161 residents from 4 countries: Egypt, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan.



Soha Said, Executive Director of the Egypt Award for Government Excellence, explained that the award in its third session includes 20 categories within the awards for institutional and individual excellence.
 
 Corporate Excellence Awards include; The Distinguished Institution Award, which is divided into prizes for local units in the governorates (center, city, neighborhood, village), educational institutions (government colleges), and the Distinguished Unit Award for providing government services.



 Dr. Mohamed Mohamedy, Director of Evaluation for the Egypt Government Excellence Award, explained that the work of the third evaluation cycle of the award included 56 working days, with a total of 135,240 working hours.

 It also included 163 field visits, and 70 personal interviews, in addition to an independent jury comprising 4 arbitrators from the sisterly United Arab Emirates.
