Positioning Egypt’s Vision 2030 within the pillars of the national dialogue achieves participatory planning for the future: Minister of Planning

H.E. Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, held a meeting with Dr. Hossam Badrawi, Advisor to the National Dialogue for Egypt 2030 Vision, in the presence of Dr. Ahmed Kamali, Deputy Minister, Dr. Jamil Helmy, Assistant Minister for Follow-up Affairs of the Sustainable Development Plan, and Dr. Mona Essam, Head of the Sustainable Development Unit at the Ministry.
During the meeting, the updated version of Egypt's Vision 2030 and the most important stages and reasons for the process of updating the vision and stability on the basic capabilities, strategic goals, and targets in all sectors and indicators for measuring the achievement of goals were presented.
Dr. Hala El-Said said that Egypt's Vision 2030 is an active document that interacts with local and global events and developments.
El-Said explained that the vision was developed before Egypt entered the stages of economic reform, the issue of water scarcity, the effects of the population issue, the world's entry into the Covid 19 pandemic, and the political and economic developments that the world is currently witnessing.For his part, Dr. Hossam Badrawi stressed that he felt a great responsibility to manage the vision file in the sessions and committees of the national dialogue.He further noted that Egypt's vision was one of the most important reasons for his approval to participate in the work of the national dialogue.Badrawi added that Egypt's vision belongs to all Egyptians because it deals with all aspects of life and that work must be done to bring it out in a manner commensurate with global developments and to give priority to education, health, environment, and green economy issues.Badrawi confirmed that committees will be formed for dialogue on the vision representing all spectrums.
