Egypt's NIGSD, GAFI holds a symposium on sustainable development, goals, and activities of the institute

The National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development (NIGSD), the training arm of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, in cooperation with The General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI), held a symposium on sustainable development, the goals and activities of the institute, as well as the work of the institute's communication and awareness units.
Dr. Sherifa Sherif, Executive Director of the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development, indicated that the symposium dealt with several topics, including awareness of governance and sustainable development, and this included talking about the definitions of governance and the role of the institute in spreading and applying the concept and providing advice in this regard.
Sherif added that the symposium also dealt with talk about gender equality as a goal of sustainable development, women's empowerment, and the Egyptian government's interest in this regard, which was reflected in Egypt's Vision 2030 and the National Strategy for Women's Empowerment 2030.
The symposium also included the focus of the Egyptian administration on enhancing the management and leadership skills of Egyptian women and contributing to the continuous efforts to promote gender equality, equal opportunities, and principles of governance for sustainable development.
The symposium was moderated by Mr. Nader Nour, Director of the Communication and Awareness Unit at the National Institute of Governance and Sustainable Development. The symposium was presented by Ms. Radwa Obeid, Deputy Director of the Sustainable Development Unit at the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development, and Ms. Hajar Bandari, Senior Researcher at the Communication and Awareness Unit at the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development.
