Rowad 2030 Project Receives an Excellence Award For “Technology & Community Service”

The Rowad 2030 (Entrepreneurs 2030) of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development received the Excellence Award for Technology and Community Service, in the category of official bodies, from the Arab Council for Social Responsibility “ACSR” of the League of Arab States.
The ceremony was attended by Dr. Ghada Khalil, director of the Rowad 2030 project, and Dr. Hisham Azmy, Secretary-General of the Council. The Supreme Council of Culture, Dr. Randa Rizk, Secretary-General of the Arab Council for Social Responsibility, and Dr. Muhammad Azzam, Assistant Secretary-General of the Arab Council for Social Responsibility.
This came within the framework of the activities of the second edition of the “My Community Tech” forum under the title (Technology for Community Service), sponsored by the Ministries of Communications, Information Technology, Supply, Internal Trade, Youth, Sports, Finance, Industry, Trade, and Environment, and in strategic partnership with ITIDA, Egypt Post, the United Nations Organization for Migration, the Mohammed bin Rashid Knowledge Foundation and the Health care, the Universal Health Insurance Authority, Plan International, the Swedish Embassy in Cairo, the Federation of Arab Universities, the Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development, and the International Forum for Arab Women’s Sports.
H.E. Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, said that the award came within the framework of the project’s efforts in the field of entrepreneurship, and the launch of the One Million Entrepreneurs campaign, which aims to qualify one million entrepreneurs and contribute to the establishment of 50,000 start-up companies by 2030.
For her part, Dr. Ghada Khalil, Project Manager for Rowad 2030, expressed her happiness that the project received an award for excellence in technology and community service, explaining that every honor the project receives gives them a strong push forward, and crowns their efforts in the field of entrepreneurship.
Khalil added that the project was established under the umbrella of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, which is one of the most important parties interested in regulating the entrepreneurship environment in Egypt, adding that they continue to support young people and launch campaigns and initiatives that create a generation of entrepreneurs and spread the idea of entrepreneurship in the country.
Dr. Randa Rizk, Secretary-General of the Arab Council for Social Responsibility, stressed that they are always keen on the presence and honor of the Rowad 2030 project, and this is for their real and tangible societal role in the field of entrepreneurship, supporting youth, and launching many distinguished initiatives always, explaining that they have great positive energy and have a different and innovative vision.
For his part, Dr. Mohamed Azzam, Assistant Secretary-General of the Arab Council for Social Responsibility, explained that the Rowad 2030 project deserves to be honored, especially for its effective role in the field of entrepreneurship, adding that the project works to develop and equip Egyptian youth for a culture of self-employment and entrepreneurship.
Azzam stressed that it is a large and pioneering project that addresses all segments of society, and thanked those in charge of the project for launching many distinguished campaigns and initiatives such as the One Million Entrepreneurs campaign.
