The Ministry of Planning and Economic Development represented by Amira Hossam, Assistant Minister for Sustainable Development Affairs participated in the activities of the special workshop on women's leadership, which was held over three days in the Kingdom of Denmark in cooperation with the Danish-Egyptian Dialogue Initiative.
The Egyptian Embassy in Copenhagen and Egypt's Ambassador to the Kingdom of Denmark and Lithuania Karim Sharif received all the Egyptian participants and their Danish women counterparts to present the developments that Egypt is currently witnessing in achieving SDGs and implementing Egypt's sustainable development strategy, Egypt Vision 2030.
During the meeting, they reviewed the activities carried out by the embassy to present the current developments in the fields of human rights, women's empowerment, and various related social initiatives, as well as preparations for the climate summit hosted by Egypt this year in Sharm El Sheikh COP 27.
It is noteworthy that the Danish-Egyptian Dialogue Initiative selects every year 12 Egyptian and 12 Danish young women under the age of 35 who work in prominent leadership positions in the government, the private sector, and civil society, to exchange dialogue and networking, and discuss leadership opportunities.
