In cooperation with the German Hanns Seidel Foundation:NIGSD launches its training program on performance measurement indicators for leaders in Egypt and Africa

The National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development (NIGSD) - the training arm of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, held a training program entitled "Performance Measurement Indicators towards Effective Governance in Africa" for Egyptian leaders from various governorates and African leaders, in cooperation with the German Hanns Seidel Foundation.
Dr. Sherifa Sherif, Executive Director of NIGSD, said that the two-day training program comes within the framework of the Egyptian government's keenness to actively contribute to sustainable development efforts in the African continent, which is one of its priorities.
For her part, Dr. Hanan Rizk, Director of the African Development Center and the Administration of the Training Network for Management Institutes in Africa (Tanmia), affiliated with the Institute, stated that the program aims to introduce the concept of governance, its objectives and principles, and its role in improving performance within government agencies and institutions.
The program also aims to introduce the importance of performance measurement indicators, the relationship between performance measurement indicators and performance management, setting goals and performance measurement indicators, and types of performance measurement indicators, in addition to the sources of choosing performance measurement indicators.
It is noteworthy that the program was presented in both English and Arabic, through physical attendance and remote attendance.
The program targets government employees of both sexes between the ages of 25 and 45 years who work in various administrative positions in local units whose work is related to the design and implementation of sustainable development projects at the local level in Egypt and various African countries in various sectors, in addition to the participation of 10 people with mobility disabilities.
