The Ministry of Planning and Economic Development received a delegation from the "National School of Public Policy" in the Republic of Pakistan, which included a group of senior Pakistani government officials, from various departments, during the delegation's official visit to Egypt.During the visit, a workshop was held to inform the attendees of the Ministry's efforts and vision, and the latest existing initiatives.
H.E. Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, stressed the depth of the Egyptian-Pakistani relations, and the ministry's keenness to support relations and provide the necessary support to the delegation, during its official visit to Egypt, while informing them of the ministry's work tasks and the existing efforts and projects it is working on.

During the workshop, Dr. Mohamed Alaa, Deputy Director of the International Cooperation Office at the ministry, referred to the Dignified Life Initiative, explaining that it represents the largest development project in the history of Egypt and the world, as it contributes to improving the quality of life for the Egyptian citizen and providing decent and productive work opportunities.
Alaa explained that the initiative benefits a large percentage of the Egyptian people, at a rate of about 58% of the Egyptian population.
Alaa also highlighted the developmental role that the initiative plays in changing the entire face of the Egyptian countryside.


Alaa touched on the active participation of the private sector and civil society, stressing that the initiative covers more than 4,500 villages.
Alaa reviewed the ministry's work tasks and the files and projects entrusted to it, as well as its affiliates. Alaa also touched on the state's investment plan and the national project for the development of the Egyptian family.
Alaa referred to the Rowad 2030 project as one of the projects carried out by the ministry to support and train young people in entrepreneurship, pointing to the One Million Entrepreneurs initiative, which aims to train one million young people in entrepreneurship before 2030.For her part, Amani El-Deeb, Director of the International Cooperation Department at the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development (NIGSD), spoke about the institute, explaining that it is a public economic organization with an advisory, training, and research identity.
 Al-Deeb added that the institute aims to simplify procedures, set rules for dealing with state institutions and bodies, and coordinate between relevant bodies at the central and local levels, following the standards of good governance.
Aya Nawar, Deputy Head of the Sustainable Development Unit at the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, reviewed during the workshop; International frameworks in terms of the United Nations 2030 Agenda, the regional represented by the Africa Agenda 2063, and the national ones represented by Egypt’s Vision 2030, which leads the development process in Egypt.
Nawar also shed light on the most important efforts made by Egypt, represented by the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, about updating Egypt's Vision 2030 and the international changes that led the state to develop the vision.
Nawar also reviewed the state's efforts to localize sustainable development goals at the governorate level, pointing to the practical application of resettlement through the "Decent Life" initiative, which serves most of the sustainable development goals.The presentations presented during the workshop witnessed positive reactions from the participants, and the workshop participants praised the Egyptian experience in preparing Egypt's Vision 2030.
