Minister of Planning meets with the jury of Egypt Award for Gov't Excellence in its 3rd session in 2022

H.E. Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, met - via video conference - with the jury of the Egypt Award for Gov't Excellence in its third session 2022, during the activities of the closing session of the jury meetings.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister of Planning welcomed Saeed Al Matroushi, Chairman of the Arbitration Committee for Planning and Implementation, Abdul Quddous Al Obaidly, Chairman of the Arbitration Committee for Technical and Governance Matters, and members of the Arbitration Committee; Ali bin Sebaa Al-Marri, and Abdul Samad Hussein Suleiman.
El-Said also praised the cooperation and support of the award team from the UAE side, led by Marwan Al Zaabi, director of the Sheikh Khalifa Government Excellence Program, as well as Mahmoud Al-Awadi, project manager for the Sheikh Khalifa Government Excellence Program.
El-Said highlighted the support of the political leadership from the Egyptian and Emirati sides to advance the process of institutional excellence in the state’s administrative apparatus, through the stages and processes of the award, such as training, writing applications for candidacy, and evaluation, which are carried out with complete integrity and transparency.
During the meeting, the heads and members of the jury reviewed some observations, which will be included in the final report of the arbitration and the announcement of the results for the third session of the award, most notably the qualitative shift in the levels of maturity of the participating government agencies, and the remarkable and professional development in the performance of the award management.
In addition to praising the experience of launching the internal excellence awards system, addition to raising many recommendations in the final report that would improve the performance of the award’s work.
For his part, Khaled Mostafa, Permanent Undersecretary of the Ministry of Planning and supervisor of the Egypt Award for Gov't Excellence, praised the Egyptian-Emirati experience; Being a unique experience in the Arab world and openness to the exchange of knowledge and experiences between the two sides in the areas of government excellence and administrative development to activate the strategic partnership agreement between the two countries.
It is noteworthy that the total number of nominations for the third cycle of 2022 amounted to 3,492 distributed over 20 categories, an increase of 19% over the second cycle.
