The National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development (NIGSD), the training arm of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development and the Beheira Governorate, launched a graduation ceremony for the distribution of graduation certificates for 59 female trainees working in the governorate’s General Court, who participated in the Heya for a Digital Future initiative.

Dr. Sherifa Sherif, Executive Director of NIGSD, pointed to the importance of programs and training courses to build various digital capabilities.

She added that the initiative is for a digital future aimed at bridging the digital gender gap and enhancing the capabilities of women working in the field of sustainable development, financial inclusion, and gender equality.

Sherif explained that the initiative deals with many topics related to computers, such as computer principles, computer operating systems, and their various types, dealing with the Internet, social media, managing meetings remotely through the zoom application, and concepts about cybersecurity and digital transformation.

For her part, Dr. Nihal Balbaa emphasized the leading role of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development and the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development in developing a plan to implement programs to develop and build digital capabilities for all government sector workers.
Dr. Rehab Farraj emphasized the great role of the Beheira Governorate in supporting the trainees, as Beheira is one of the leading governorates in training workers on digital transformation, and urged the trainees to participate in the upcoming initiatives to challenge all conditions to reach advancement and progress.
