Egypt's NIGSD runs a workshop entitled “Institutional Learning for Sustainability and Strengthening Institutional Governance”

The National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development (NIGSD), the training arm of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, held a workshop entitled "Institutional Learning for Sustainability and Strengthening Institutional Governance", for a group of workers in various agencies, ministries, and governorate offices.
The workshop was inaugurated by Eng. Khaled Mustafa, Permanent Undersecretary of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, and moderated by Dr. Alaa Jarrad, Dean of Academic Programs, Al Maktoum College for Graduate Studies, Scotland.
For her part, Dr. Sherifa Sharif, Executive Director of the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development (NIGSD) stressed the importance of training and developing the capabilities of employees to prepare them to meet the requirements of current jobs, as well as develop their skills to meet future needs.
Sherif explained that the training programs implemented by the institute come in light of Egypt's Vision 2030 and what it represents as an essential step in the comprehensive development process in Egypt and reforms in various fields.
These training programs aim to support good governance, sustainable development, and a green transition,Sherif indicated the institute's keenness to establish partnerships with relevant local and international institutions.
Sherif explained that the workshop held by NIGSD entitled "Institutional Learning for Sustaining and Strengthening Institutional Governance" aims to identify the types and levels of learning, transform the process of individual transformation into institutional learning, and identify the applications of institutional learning in institutional governance.
