16 August 2022

The Rowad 2030 The Rowad 2030 (entrepreneurs 2030) project of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development continued the activities of the summer camp organized by the project for students of the Start Your Future campaign, during the period from 14 to 17 August in Alexandria Governorate.

Dr. Ghada Khalil, director of the Rowad 2030 project, confirmed that the summer camp targets middle school students and will include about 70 students from different governorates of Egypt.
Khalil added that the students who were selected for the camp were based on the innovative ideas that they implemented during the Start Your Future campaign.

Khalil explained that the students' innovative ideas were a result of the Start Your Future campaign, in which they trained teachers on the campaign and how to create innovative ideas, and then trained the students on it.

Khalil explained that the goal of the camp is to maintain the sustainability of students' projects and ideas and to encourage and motivate them to create innovative ideas and projects by providing them with the entrepreneurial skills necessary to develop their projects that create job opportunities in the future.

Khalil stated that the Start Your Future campaign aims to educate students about the concepts of entrepreneurship, its importance, enrich it and support it, and spread the culture of self-employment to develop pioneering thought in new generations and acquire skills related to it, such as generating ideas, building a work team, and the ability to solve problems that will develop their capabilities and achieve economic development for the country.

Khalil indicated that the campaign targets students in the preparatory stage in public schools, which is a simplified integrated training package in Arabic and English, through a curriculum approved by the University of Missouri, USA, and an evaluation and follow-up system has been developed by specialists in this field.

During the activities of the first day of the summer camp, Rowad 2030 organized three sessions and training courses for students in the field of entrepreneurship, distributed as follows, a session on innovation and entrepreneurship, in addition to a session on the art of pitching.
