Egypt's Minister of Planning and Economic Development discusses opportunities for cooperation with the National Alliance for Civil Development Work

H.E. Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, received the delegation of the National Alliance for Civil Development Work to discuss opportunities for cooperation between the two sides.
During the meeting, El-Said praised the idea of establishing the coalition and what it has achieved over the past months, stressing the need for coordination between the government and civil society in all files.
During the meeting, El-Said reviewed the most important areas of the ministry's work and projects.
El-Said highlighted the national project for the development of the Egyptian family, which aims to improve the characteristics of the population and control population growth.
El-Said confirmed that the coalition can play an important role on several pillars, including; economic empowerment, raising awareness, and building awareness among citizens of the seriousness of the population crisis.
El-Said also reviewed the national project "Decent Life" and ways to deepen cooperation with the coalition.
She further discussed ways to develop mechanisms for the contribution of the National Alliance for Civil Development Work in the follow-up system and monitoring the actual needs of the citizen and contributing to achieving the highest rates of effectiveness of state interventions.
El-Said referred to Egypt's Vision 2030, and the need for civil society to play a key role in achieving it, as it is the third side in the golden triangle to achieve development alongside the government and the private sector.
The Minister of Planning listened to the interventions of members of the National Alliance for Civil Action, praising the ideas that were put forward. She stressed that the state will seek to activate the maximum benefit from the capabilities of the coalition, support networking, and coordinate with civil society in many areas; chief among them is social protection.
The Minister of Planning and Economic Development directed all ministry leaders to open channels of communication and cooperation with the coalition and to build an effective partnership in files of common interest.
