Egypt’s NIGSD signs an MoU with AMIDEAST to cooperate in the areas of human capacity development

Dr. Sharifa Sharif, Executive Director of the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development (NIGSD) - the training arm of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development - and Shahinaz Ahmed, Regional Director of the American Middle East Association for Educational and Training Services - USA - (AMIDEAST) signed recently a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in areas related to human capacity development.Dr. Sharifa Sharif said that the memorandum of understanding aims to cooperate between the two parties in building and developing human capabilities, training, and providing advisory services.
Sherif referred to the importance of training, developing capabilities, and developing skills to meet future needs, stressing that training contributes to preparing human cadres capable of meeting work needs.
The Executive Director of the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development stressed that training and capacity building are among the main pillars of the success of any entity, through organizing a scheme aimed at providing workers with skills and capabilities related to the nature of their work, which helps in improving performance.
Sherif pointed out that the institute's vision is to become the leading center of excellence in providing consultancy, research, and training in the Middle East and North Africa region.
The signing of the MoU was attended by Nabil Fouad, Director General of Business Development and Human Resources at the institute, Maris Adel, business development coordinator at the institute, and Amr Hassan, financial director of AMIDEAST.
