Minister of Planning and Economic Development heads to New York to represent Egypt at (HLPF 2022)

H.E. Dr. Hala El-Said, Egypt's Minister of Planning and Economic Development, left the homeland for New York; To represent Egypt in the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development 2022 (HLPF 2022) held at the United Nations Headquarters, from 14-18 July.




El-Said is scheduled to participate in the ministerial round table entitled "Accelerating the Achieving Sustainable Development Goals by 2030: Addressing Persistent Crises and Overcoming Challenges".


El-Said will review the Egyptian experience in facing the repercussions of COVID-19, implementing sustainable development goals, and green recovery, during the "Messages from the Regions" session.


 The activity of the Minister of Planning and Economic Development during the high-level political forum also includes a series of bilateral meetings with some personalities at the United Nations and ESCWA.


The High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development is launched this year under the title of  "Building Back Better" after the COVID-19 pandemic while advancing the full implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

 The Forum encourages the Member States to conduct regular national reviews – submitted voluntarily – of progress made in implementing the 2030 Agenda and to present these results during ministerial meetings within the Forum
