Egypt Award for Gov't Excellence is appropriate for application in higher education institutions: Research Paper

The session "Institutional Development and Digital Transformation in the New Country", which was held within the activities of the third day of the annual conference of the College of Economics and Political Science 2022, discussed the title "The New Egyptian State and Sustainable Development: Opportunities and Challenges".
The session reviewed some research papers submitted by professors of the Faculty of Economics and Political Science at Cairo University. The second paper discussed measuring the efficiency of the digital transformation process in the Egyptian administrative system in light of international experiences.
The first research paper discussed the Egypt Award for Government Excellence as a tool for self-assessment of higher education institutions and applied study in the Faculty of Economics and Political Science at Cairo University.
The paper clarified that despite the increasing interest in the Egypt Award for Governmental Excellence, and the allocation of a category of the award to distinguished higher education institutions.
The study indicated that the first cycle of the award in 2019 witnessed the participation of 290 colleges, and the number of institutions participating in the second cycle increased to 2,000 government institutions, including 454 colleges, who competed for 19 awards.
The study author confirmed that the results of the applied study were that the Egypt Award for Government Excellence provides a clear methodology for self-evaluation that includes a mixture of technical and social standards that reflect the levels of performance in higher education institutions.
It was noted that the researcher's choice of the Faculty of Economics and Political Science at Cairo University as a field of application, came as the faculty that won second place for the Excellence Award in its second session in 2020.
