H.E. Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, said that the Egyptian-Bahraini relations are historical, extended, and growing, especially in light of the constant interest in these relations by the political leadership in the two countries headed by President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain. 


This came while she was accompanied by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic; On his visit to Bahrain to discuss bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to enhance and support them, especially concerning the economic aspect.
El-Said pointed out that the consultation, dialogue, and mutual and continuous visits between the two countries today are an embodiment and extension of this communication, as the Egyptian-Bahraini relations represent a model for Arab relations.

 On investment relations, the Minister of Planning said that Bahrain ranks 16th in the list of countries investing in Egypt, and the total number of Bahraini companies is about 216, with a total capital of $3.3 billion, stressing that the economic and investment file in this visit received great attention.



El-Said explained that Egypt and Bahrain are seeking to activate joint investment cooperation in light of the aspiration of some Bahraini companies to establish projects in Egypt, and to make expansions for their current projects, in addition to expanding the base of companies investing in Egypt. 


Dr. Hala El-Said added that the investment climate in Egypt is receiving great attention within the framework of the structural reform plan, pointing out that there are a large set of incentives that the Egyptian state has begun to offer in the new investment law.



El-Said explained that 10 agreements were signed to strengthen the framework of economic cooperation between the two countries in various economic, scientific, and technological fields, as well as to develop exports between the two countries in the field of education, environmental protection, and investment promotion.
