The Rowad 2030 (entrepreneurs 2030) project of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development held an opening session for the “third annual forum for startups” launched by the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, today, Saturday, at the Greek Campus, under the patronage of Dr. Hala Al-Saeed, Minister of Planning and Economic Development. The opening session was entitled “Financing Mechanisms for Startups and its role in achieving economic development.
The session shed light on the different sources of funding for entrepreneurs and how to take advantage of the various financing initiatives available in Egypt, as well as the special requirements for obtaining financing.
For her part, Dr. Ghada Khalil confirmed that until the present moment there is no direct funding, but there are incubation opportunities that include a funding portion provided through the business incubator, in addition to the fact that Rowad 2030 has partnerships with many parties that have the funding portion.
Khalil also sent a message to investors to invest more in small ideas, especially as many of them are innovative and worth investing in, especially since Egypt is ranked first in the Middle East and North Africa in terms of investing in startups.
On the sidelines of the opening session, Dr. Ghada Khalil honored the participants, in recognition of their efforts in the field of entrepreneurship.
It is worth mentioning that the forum aims to spread and support the awareness-raising role of entrepreneurship in Egyptian society, in addition to supporting the role of the private sector in economic activity.
