The Rowad 2030 Project Witnesses the Graduation of 1st batch of Mashreq Tourism Business Incubator

The Rowad 2030 Project of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development celebrated the graduation of the first batch of Mashreq Tourism Business Incubators, which was established by the project in cooperation with the Arab Academy for Science and Technology.
This came within the framework of the activities of the "Third Annual Forum for Startups", launched by the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development and the Rowad 2030 project today, Saturday, at the Greek Campus headquarters, under the patronage of Dr.
The ceremony witnessed the graduation of 19 projects divided into 9 projects from different governorates of Egypt, including Simsimia Project, Holiday, Orient Museum, WhatsApp Hind, Trip Guide, Hoppadfingers, GoV, and 10 projects from Aswan Governorate, including Eco Events Project, Aswan City Bike, African Nile, Nubian Hayat, Turia Art, Trav Maker, Nubian Kato, Aswan and Aswan Cure.
For her part, Dr. Ghada Khalil, director of the Rowad 2030 project, praised the partnership with the Arab Academy for Science and Technology, which she described as always fruitful and distinguished.
Khalil stressed that the tourism sector is vital, and the state depends on it for a large part of economic development, and it provides many job opportunities. Therefore, the Rowad 2030 project established a Mashreq Business Incubator in cooperation with the Academy in the field of tourism to encourage innovation and entrepreneurship in the tourism sector in the Arab Republic of Egypt.
Khalil explained that they had a distinctive vision when they established this incubator to improve the performance of the tourism sector in the country, as well as that they sought the assistance of organizing a workshop with all tourism stakeholders to identify the challenges facing the tourism sector in Egypt, and to benefit from all opinions.
And Dr. Wael El-Desouky, Director of the Entrepreneurship Center at the Arab Academy for Science and Technology, stressed that all projects today are innovative and inspiring in the field of tourism, especially since these young people faced many difficulties during the Corona period, but they overcame them, expressing his happiness at the success of these young people.
El-Desouki praised the cooperation with the Rowad 2030 project, explaining that the two sides are working on the heart of one man to reach the best results.
The youth of the first batch also presented the ideas of their start-up companies, which were well received by the audience due to their inspiring and innovative ideas.
It is worth mentioning that the forum aims to spread and support the awareness-raising role of entrepreneurship in Egyptian society, in addition to supporting the role of the private sector in economic activity.
