NIGSD, AFYS sign a cooperation protocol in the fields of sustainable development

The National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development (NIGSD) signed recently; represented by Dr. Sharifa Sharif, Executive Director of the Institute, and the Arab Foundation for Young Scientists (AFYS), represented by Dr. Alaa Al-Sadiq, Chairman of the Foundation's Board of Trustees, a cooperation protocol in the areas of sustainable development. The signing was attended by Dr. Heba El-Baz, Director of the Center for Sustainable Development at the Institute, and Radwa Mohsen, Deputy Director of the Center.Dr. Sherifa Sherif said that the cooperation protocol comes within the framework of the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development's mandate to work on building and developing national cadres, and providing advisory services and training to private institutions.Sherif indicated that the cooperation activities following the protocol include benefiting from the scientific and practical experiences of the two parties in holding programs, training courses, workshops, seminars, and joint conferences, providing professional training services, and cooperating in the field of scientific research in sustainable development.For his part, Dr. Alaa Al-Sadiq indicated that AFYS works to encourage young people and find job opportunities for them to achieve sustainable development.Al-Sadiq explained that the Foundation is working to implement development projects based on translating and employing the results of scientific research to serve the community and bridge the technology gap to ensure sustainable development through an integrated project to build capacities for Egyptian youth that works to encourage entrepreneurship.
Dr. Alaa Al-Sadiq pointed out that this partnership will allow work to achieve a knowledge economy that serves the Egyptian and Arab society by translating the results of scientific research into products and applying the latest scientific methods and methodologies to maximize the benefit of scientific research.
