Egypt Award for Gov't Excellence participates in the celebration of the announcement of the internal excellence awards of Tanta University in its first session

The Egypt Award for Gov't Excellence team headed by Eng. Khaled Mustafa, Permanent Undersecretary of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development and General Supervisor of the Award, participated in the Internal Excellence Awards Ceremony of Tanta University.
The ceremony was organized in the framework of the celebration of the golden jubilee of the university, headed by Dr. Mahmoud Zaki, President of the University, and in the presence of Dr. Muhammad Hussein, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs and Chairman of the Higher Committee for Awards Administration, and Dr. Dalia Sami, Assistant Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Universities and the Deans and Vice Deans of Faculties.
During his speech, Eng. Khaled Mustafa praised Tanta University’s efforts to support the university’s institutional excellence plan, stressing that excellence is a continuous journey and not just a moment of victory.
Mustafa pointed out that the implementation of the internal awards system stems from the keenness of the management of the Egypt Award for Gov't Excellence to implement the objectives of Egypt's Vision 2030, and to support the state's efforts to spread and deepen the culture of excellence and institutional development in the various sectors of the state in an embodiment of the political leadership's directives to expand the application of the Egypt Award for Government Excellence.
Mustafa stressed that universities are among the most important tools for development in society, not only for their prominent and pioneering role in the field of education and scientific research but also as a beacon of knowledge and ideas to spread a culture of excellence and quality and enhance awareness about prospects, innovation, and institutional creativity.
For his part, Dr. Mahmoud Zaki, President of the University, praised the continuous support provided by the Ministry of Planning, the Award Administration, and the Supreme Council of Universities.
Zaki stressed that the real victory is not only for those who qualify for the first place but for everyone who contributed to the implementation of the university’s internal awards system experience, which contributed significantly to raising the efficiency of the level of institutional performance, the weight of skills, and the acquisition of the experience.
Dr. Dalia Sami stressed the keenness of the Supreme Council of Universities to provide full support to government universities in their various faculties and departments participating in the first cycle of the Internal Excellence Awards, in cooperation and coordination with the Egypt Government Excellence Award administration, to spread and implement the excellence system in all universities in the upcoming sessions.
Dr. Mohamed Hussein reviewed the stages of work with the university's internal awards, pointing out that the evaluation process was carried out in full transparency and integrity following the evaluation criteria specified by the award management for each category, which would qualify those entities to be nominated for competition in the national award "Egypt Award for Governmental Excellence".
The ceremony witnessed honoring the faculties of pharmacy for obtaining the first place, the College of Science in the second place, and the College of Arts in the third place, in addition to honoring the work team of the Egypt Award for Governmental Excellence, the team of residents and ambassadors of excellence at the university.
