Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, reviewed the plan for the year 22/2023 for the sectors of educational services, youth, sports, and culture.




That was during her presentation of the statement of the project of the sustainable development plan for the fiscal year 22/2023 and the basic features of the plan document before the House of Representatives today, in the presence of Chancellor Dr. Hanafi Jabali - Speaker of Parliament, and members of the the House of Representatives.


El-Said indicated that the plan aims to direct public investments estimated at 69.2 billion pounds to the educational services sector, with a growth rate of about 23% compared to the fiscal year (21/2022), to implement many programs and initiatives.
El-Said explained that in the field of pre-university education, the plan aims to continue efforts to reduce classroom densities and expand access to education for all without discrimination, by directing investments to the Educational Buildings Authority worth EGP 15.4 billion (including the Decent life initiative), with a growth rate of 40% compared to the plan Fiscal year (21/2022).

In the field of university education, El-Said pointed to the expansion of mechanization of tests in public universities, as it is targeted to provide credits of one billion pounds to automate 154 test centers in all public universities, with a growth rate of 125% compared to the plan for the fiscal year (21/2022).


 As well as the establishment and operation of six universities of technology (6 October, New Assiut, New Taiba in Luxor, East Port Said, Samanoud in Gharbia, Borg El Arab in Alexandria).


El-Said added that it is intended to establish and operate fifteen private universities, including (Zagazig, Banha, Beni Suef, Mansoura, Assiut, Helwan, New Valley, Suez, Minya, and Menoufia) with several numbers of the number of the capacity of 150 thousand students, with credits of 7.4 billion pounds. Studying at four universities (Al Alamein International, King Salman International, Galala, New Mansoura).


About the youth and sports sector, El-Said explained that the plan aims to establish and develop 700 five-a-side stadiums, a youth center, 7 youth cities, 6 youth camps in four governorates, 7 stadiums, five sports cities, eight hospitals, and sports medicine units, 60 clubs and four civil education centers in Matrouh, Beni Suef and Fayoum. And Sohag.



Regarding the culture sector, El-Said indicated that it is aimed to develop 20 cultural palaces, nine children's culture houses, and four theaters, in addition to developing several museums, including the Museum of Modern Egyptian Art, and establishing three branches of the Egypt Public Library.
