NIGSD, Port Said University sign a cooperation agreement in the areas of development and capacity development

The National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development (NIGSD) - the training arm of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development – signed with Port Said University represented by Dr. Ayman Mohamed Ibrahim, President of the University; a cooperation agreement.
The agreement was signed via the video conference feature - in the areas of governance, development, administrative restructuring, human capacity development, research studies, scientific events, and other areas of common interest.NIGSD executive director Dr. Sharifa Sharif said that the cooperation agreement includes a range of areas and activities, including the preparation and implementation of a package of training and research programs to make a qualitative leap in university performance and raise the awareness of students and faculty members about the foundations of good governance and sustainable development.Dr. Sharifa Sharif stressed the importance of training and capacity building, which is one of the main pillars of the success of any party, through organizing a scheme aimed at providing workers with skills and capabilities related to the nature of their work, which helps in improving performance. Sharif indicated that the institute's vision is to become the leading center of excellence in providing consultancy, research, and training in the Middle East and North Africa region.
Sharif reviewed the various training programs offered by the Institute at the national and African levels, cooperation with international institutions and universities, and cooperation partners in providing a variety of programs.
For his part, Prof. Ayman Mohamed Ibrahim, President of Port Said University, stressed the importance of this cooperation because of its important impact on managing resources and achieving sustainable development following Egypt’s Vision 2030; By implementing a package of training programs for university students, faculty members, the supporting staff, and the administrative staff.
The signing of the protocol was attended by Mr. Nabil Fouad, Director General of Business Development and Human Resources Department, Ms. Amani El Deeb, Director of the International Cooperation Department, and Dr. Rawya Rizk, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research from Port Said University.
