Main / Media / News / Egypt's Ministry of Planning signs MoU with the “Regional International Population Council” regarding 3rd of the youth survey

09 April 2022

The Ministry of Planning and Economic Development and the Regional Office of the International Population Council signed a memorandum of understanding regarding the conduct of the third cycle of the survey of youth and youth.
The signing was witnessed by Dr. Ahmed Kamali, Deputy Minister of Planning, and the memorandum was signed by Dr. Amira Tawadros, Director of the Ministry's Demographic Center, and Dr. Nahla Abdel Tawab, representative of the International Population Council and responsible director.

Dr. Ahmed Kamali indicated that the Minister of Planning and Economic Development aims to achieve sustainable development and formulate policies based on measuring impact through effective planning for the implementation of the sustainable development agenda.

Dr. Ahmed Kamali explained that the previous two sessions of the survey dealt with different aspects of the lives of young people, the most important of which are health, education, employment, marriage, immigration, and gender roles.
Kamali pointed out that the social and economic changes that occurred in the Egyptian society during the past years were the impetus for conducting the third round of the survey of youth and youth, stressing the importance of the survey in supporting evidence-based policies and programs.

It is noteworthy that the first cycle of the survey of youth and youth was in 2009 in cooperation with the International Population Council and the Information and Decision Support Center, and the second in cooperation with the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics in 2014.
