The Ministry of Planning and Economic Development issues a report on the Citizen’s Investment Plan in Buhaira Governorate 2021/2022

The Ministry of Planning and Economic Development continued to issue its reports on the citizen's investment plan in the governorates, by issuing the plan for the Buhaira governorate.
Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, stated that public investments directed to the Beheira Governorate for the fiscal year 2021/2022 amounted to EGP 6.06 billion, as the total projects amounted to 346 development projects, representing 1.7% of the distributed public investments.
El-Said added that according to the sectoral distribution of targeted public investments, the transport sector accounts for 38.4%, with a value of EGP 2.33 billion.
The housing and slum development sector accounts for 23.6%, with a value of EGP 1.43 billion, while the local development sector accounts for 15.6%, with a value of EGP 944.2 million.
El-Said pointed out that the pre-university education sector accounted for 6.3%, with a value of EGP 380.4 million , while the irrigation sector accounted for 2.9%, with a value of EGP 173.1 million, while other sectors gained 13.2%, with a value of EGP 802.3 million.
El-Said confirmed that the Al-Buhaira governorate witnessed growth in investments funded by the public treasury and directed to the governorate by 33%.
Regarding the most prominent local development projects in the governorate, the report indicated that the solid waste system included the completion of the fishing port in Rashid, paving of separate roads in the center and city of Kafr al-Dawwar, paving of joint roads between the centers of Dillingat and Kom Hamada, paving of separate roads in the city and center of Damanhour.
The report also referred to the most prominent irrigation projects, which were the completion of the construction and renewal of covered drainage networks, the rehabilitation of public banks, and the establishment of industrial works on them.
The protection of the Rasheed branch estuary (construction of 2 sea tongues), the construction of Tabia Al-Abed station, the replacement and renewal of Tahrir Station 1 and the rehabilitation of Mariot 2.3 stations, the completion of coverage of canals and drains, the completion of the protection of bridges and industrial works, the development of sockets and canals, the supply and implementation of electricity networks.
Regarding projects in the field of housing services and slum development, the report of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development indicated that the most prominent projects in the field include the development of slums, the establishment of a dual treatment plant with a capacity of (10-15 thousand m 3 / day), the National Housing Program, expansions of Shabrakhit sewage stations with a capacity of 20 Thousand m3/day), battle treatment station set up.
The report also indicated that one of the most important development goals in the 2021/2022 plan is to direct about 1 billion pounds for drinking water and sanitation services.
The report also referred to the most prominent transport projects, represented in the construction of concrete bridges on waterways (the first phase on Al-Rayah Al-Buhari).
In addition, a double road was completed between the Pauline barrages and the city of Kom Hamadeh, the construction of a bridge at the intersection of Al-Dhra’a Maritime with the coastal road at Km 21, the completion of the Nubariya axis 203 km, the completion of the dualization of Al-Qanater Al-Khattabeh / Al-Tawfiqia road (the distance from Al-Tawfiqia to Qanatir).
