NIGSD announces the extension of the nomination period for the 2nd batch of the "Be an Ambassador" initiative until April 10

The Ministry of Planning and Economic Development and the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development (NIGSD)- the training arm of the ministry - announced the extension of the nomination period for the second batch of the Be an Ambassador initiative until April 10, due to the high demand from young people for the initiative.
H.E. Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development and Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of NIGSD, said that the “Be an Ambassador” initiative comes within the framework of strengthening the state’s efforts to qualify human cadres capable of leading development efforts, and in light of the expansion of investment in people.
El-Said pointed out that the initiative takes into account gender considerations and the participation of people of determination, in addition to representing all governorates, which confirms the keenness to spread development awareness in all Egyptian regions to enhance efforts to achieve balanced regional development, which is a fundamental pillar of Egypt's Vision 2030.
For her part, Dr. Sharifa Sharif, Executive Director of NIGSD, pointed out that since the opening of the door for progress for the second batch of the initiative; A large number of young people applied, which prompted the extension of the period available for candidacy to give everyone the opportunity.
Sherif added that the "Be an Ambassador" initiative aims to spread the idea of sustainability among young people through a series of training courses.
The initiative includes 3 basic stages: the introductory level, then the specialized level, in which the study is conducted through the e-training platform "Estidama", then the professional level, which includes qualifying trainees through the TOT program to become ambassadors for sustainable development in their communities, and this level is implemented by attendance Actual for 5 consecutive days.

This is until April 10, 2022, provided that the applicant fulfills many conditions, namely, that the age of the applicant ranges from 18 - to 35 years, and proficiency in the English language, and the applicant should participate in some volunteer or student activities at the university.
It is also preferred that the applicant has a general background on sustainable development and its importance.
The applicant must record a video clip of no more than five minutes to introduce himself, his educational qualifications, the main objective of joining the initiative, and what he will present to the community after passing the training program.
