The Minister of Planning and Economic Development participates in the celebration of the start of trading in the shares of Swvl on the US Nasdaq Stock Exchange

H.E. Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, participated in the Egyptian Stock Exchange's celebration of the start of trading in the shares of Swvl for mass transportation on the US Nasdaq Stock Exchange.
The ceremony was attended by Ambassador Nabila Makram, Minister of Immigration and Egyptians Abroad Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Farid, President of the Egyptian Stock Exchange, and Counselor Mohamed Abdel Wahab, CEO of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones.
Dr. Hala El-Said expressed her happiness to start trading the shares of the first Egyptian company on the NASDAQ Stock Exchange, explaining that it is a historic event in the history of the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
El-Said said that Egypt has a large number of emerging companies, explaining that the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development contributes to the process of providing an appropriate climate for entrepreneurship and investment in young people in schools and universities through the Rowad 2030 project.
The Minister of Planning and Economic Development indicated that Egypt possesses many models of innovative youth who seek to achieve success and ideas outside the box.
El-Said stressed that the state would provide support to these young people and create the appropriate environment for them to succeed in this field, expressing her wish that there would be more than one Egyptian company registered on international stock exchanges.
