Under the auspices of the Minister of Planning and Economic Development Hackathon Egypt 2030 from PepsiCo Egypt selects the qualified teams for the final qualifiers

The Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, the Ministry’s Rowad 2030 project, and PepsiCo Egypt, in cooperation with RiseUp, announced the eight winning teams and qualified for the second and final stage of the qualifiers for the second edition of the “Egypt 2030 Hackathon.”
More than 100 competitors representing 35 teams competed to win the competition prize.
Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, said that the cooperation between the ministry, PepsiCo Egypt, and RiseUp confirms the keenness of the Egyptian state and the ministry to support cooperation with development partners, and maximize the benefit from the efforts and activities of social responsibility of the private sector.
El-Said added that organizing the "Egypt Hackathon 2030" competition contributes to achieving sustainable development goals by maximizing the role of youth, with a focus on one of the UN goals and some different topics each year.
She touched on Dr. Hala El-Said referred to the efforts of the state and the ministry in the field of encouraging entrepreneurship, stressing that the Egyptian state aims to mobilize all available resources and energies, to achieve comprehensive and sustainable development, by stimulating community participation in which the role of both youth and women is prominent.
El-Said stressed the state's keenness to support and encourage entrepreneurship and to finance small projects with creative and innovative ideas.
El-Said pointed out that the state, through the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, has adopted several efforts, most notably the launch of the "Pioneers of 2030" project, which aims to enable young people to establish their projects and work to devote and support the role of entrepreneurship in developing the national economy and diversifying sources of income.
For her part, Dr. Ghada Khalil, Director of the Rowad 2030 Project, said that the "Egypt 2030 Hackathon" competition witnessed the participation of about 100 representatives of young people with innovative ideas and projects to provide solutions to develop the health and economic sector in Egypt, to achieve Egypt's Vision 2030.
