The Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, NIGSD launch 2nd batch of the “Be an Ambassador” initiative 2022

Egypt's Ministry of Planning and Economic Development launched; in cooperation with the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development (NIGSD)- the training arm of the Ministry - launched on Tuesday the second batch of the "Be an Ambassador" 2022 initiative for sustainable development.
The initiative aims to build national capacities for youth and raise awareness in the field of sustainable development.
Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development and Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of NIGSD, said that the "Be an Ambassador" initiative is distinguished by its collection of some values.
The initiative also achieves many considerations that the Egyptian state attaches great importance to, including strengthening the state's efforts to qualify human cadres capable of leading development efforts within the framework of expanding investment in people.An elite group of Egyptian youth from all Egyptian governorates participate in the initiative, which confirms the state's keenness to spread development awareness in all Egyptian regions to enhance efforts to achieve balanced regional development, which is a fundamental pillar of Egypt's Vision 2030.For her part, Dr. Sherifa Sharif, Executive Director of the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development, indicated that the "Be an Ambassador" initiative aims to spread the idea of sustainability among young people through a series of training courses, including patterns of development, and a background on the development of environmental thought in the modern era.
Sherif confirmed that the initiative takes into account the gender dimension and the inclusion of people of determination, noting that a training manual for the "Be an ambassador" initiative and a guide for governance and sustainable development terms were made available on the institute's website.
