The Minister of Planning and Economic Development receives a report on the achievements of digital transformation projects achieved until January 2022

H.E. Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, received a report from Engineer Ashraf Abdel Hafeez, Assistant Minister for Digital Transformation, including the achievements of digital transformation projects achieved until January 2022.
The report referred to the project to develop technology centers in neighborhoods and cities and the project to develop technology centers in new urban cities, where the two projects work in the implementation of the plan of administrative reform, sustainable development, and digital transformation of the Egyptian government, which depends on information technology, simplifying procedures and reducing the time for providing services to citizens.The two projects aim to fight corruption, preserve public money and how to invest it, simplify the procedures for obtaining government services for citizens, improve the work environment for employees, in addition to maximizing and providing oversight from senior management, supporting the decision-maker with periodic statistical reports to speed up decision-making, as well as tightening oversight and control. The total number of technology centers developed in neighborhoods and cities reached 316 centers until January 2022, providing 281 services at the level of the governorates of the Republic, and the total number of technology centers developed in new urban cities reached 22 centers until January 2022 providing 144 services.Concerning the mobile technology centers project, the report explained that it consists in preparing a mobile technology center to provide government services and deliver them to the citizen to his place of residence, to relieve pressure on the overcrowded centers and to provide a better and easier life for the citizen.
The report highlighted the integrated model government service complexes project, as the cooperation agreement between the Arab Republic of Egypt (ARE) and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the field of developing government work included the establishment of model integrated government service complexes that provide public services to citizens.Concerning the birth and death registration system, the operational capacity of 2,101 birth and death registration offices has been raised until January 2022.This is part of launching a campaign to raise awareness of the polio vaccination campaign for children from 1 to 5 years old by sending 6.5 million text messages, and the International Codification of Diseases is being updated from version 10 to version 11 issued by the World Health Organization (WHO).
The report also included the availability of mortality data to Egyptian banks through the Central Bank of Egypt agreement and I-score, which has a great impact on the Egyptian economy and achieves the sustainability of the project.
The report of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development also included the information infrastructure project for immunization systems, where the total developed offices amounted to 2,814 offices until January 2022, in addition to the regularity and guarantee of vaccinations for about 2.7 million children (21.6 million vaccinations annually), as well as the development of a system for vaccination stores by 100%.Calculating the coverage rate of vaccinations from the system in line with international standards to preserve the health of citizens, developing a program for offices and hospitals to serve the crippled vaccination.This is in addition to shortening the work cycle of exchanging vaccination notifications from several months to one day, limiting vaccination lags, and communicating with their families to raise the coverage rate to a percentage that may reach 100%.
