The Ministry of Planning and Economic Development holds a series of workshops to present indicators of achieving equal opportunities for workers

The Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, represented by the Equal Opportunities Unit, held a series of workshops with the participation of many employees in the ministry and its affiliates, including the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMS), the Demographic Center, the Institute-of-National-Planning (INP) and the National Investment Bank (NIB), to present the actual indicators to achieve equal opportunities among workers and discussions on improving the work environment.
H.E. Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, said that the workshops aimed to spread a culture of equity for the less fortunate and equal opportunities for women and men, by focusing on presenting and analyzing indicators that achieve equal opportunities among workers, whether in the ministry or its various affiliated agencies.
Dr. Shaima Siraj, Director of the Equal Opportunities Unit at the Ministry of Planning, confirmed that achieving equal opportunities is one of the main goals included in the sustainable development goals, and an effective component within the work axes of Egypt's Vision 2030 aimed at improving the quality of life and the advancement of citizens.
Siraj indicated that it is planned that these workshops will be held on an ongoing basis to achieve continuous communication with all functional cadres in the ministry and its affiliated entities and to seriously follow up on the steps taken.
The workshops dealt with discussions about the workers’ proposals to improve the work environment, in connection with achieving equal opportunities, which will be discussed ways to discuss and the mechanism of its implementation with the concerned people inside and outside the ministry during the next stage.
