Partnerships for Sustainable Development
Platform Description:
The Ministry of Planning and Economic Development aims, through the “sustainable development partnerships at the local level” platform, to enhance the role of private sector organizations and civil society in sustainable development processes at the local level with the aim of implementing Egypt’s Vision 2030, achieving the international sustainable development goals, and supporting the presidential initiative to develop the Egyptian countryside. Decent life".
The platform targets civil society organizations, in particular local and international NGOs, and private sector institutions from companies, non-profit associations, banks and universities, by creating a channel to enhance and coordinate their participation, integrate their contributions from existing or proposed projects and initiatives, and facilitate the process of communication between the ministry and local actors. In development at the local level, focusing on the following areas:
- Economic development (job creation and vocational training)
- Green Economy Support Policies
- Economic empowerment of women within the framework of the Egyptian family development strategy 2021-2023
