Associate Minister for Economic Policies

Associate Minister for Economic Policies with 7 + years of experience is required to join the Ministry of Planning & Economic Development (MPED).

The candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Participate in the preparation of the annual economic & social development plan

• Update regularlythe main economic indicators from local & international resources

• Prepare quarterly follow-up reports covering the development of the main economic indicators & economic sectors

• Analyze the existence of trends, as well as local & world economic developments by gathering information from recent local & international reports

• Prepare and review reports/ papers on contemporary economic & financial issues

• Coordinate with members of the national committee for monitoring the implementation of the SDGs &Egypt vision 2030

• Coordinate & follow-up on the external debt management committee and the different economic policy committees

Key Skills:

• Ability to conduct research studies. 

• Ability to gather and analyze economic data and present findings. 

• Excellent technical report writing skills. 

• Results-orientedand ability to achieve project targets before deadlines

• Ability to work in a team

• High level communication, presentation and writing skills

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with institutional and private-sector partners and stakeholders

• Proficiency with MS Office software 

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in a related field (economics, social sciences field) 

• Master degree in economics is preferable
