Public Governance Review
The OECD Public Governance Review of Egypt
The OECD Public Governance Review of Egypt (PGR) was developed within the framework of the EU-funded project “Support to Enhanced Administrative and Public Economic Governance in Egypt (2022-2026)” which is implemented by the Government of Egypt in cooperation with the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). As the first-of-its kind in Egypt, the PGR provides a 360 assessment of public governance reforms in the country together with policy advice and tailored recommendations to support their effective implementation. It provides an in-depth overview of key drivers for the successful implementation of these reforms to address current challenges in areas such as whole of government coordination for Egypt Vision 2030, public administration reform, strategic human resource management, administrative simplification, public communication and access to information as well as gender and youth mainstreaming. Overall, the review process will support the Government of Egypt in bringing reforms closer to OECD standards and benefit from good practice examples of member and partner countries.
