ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY STANDARDS GUIDE: THE STRATEGIC FRAMEWORK FOR GREEN RECOVERY

Ministry of Planning and Economic Development launched the "Environmental Sustainability Standards Guide: The Strategic Framework for Green Recovery", in cooperation with Ministry of Environment, and all relevant governmental entities. It is the first of its kind to raise awareness of sectors and interventions that have a direct positive impact on the environment and guide government and private sectors towards investing in them, as well as performance indicators that measure progress towards that goal, allowing for serious and ambitious steps towards sustainable development, of which the "green economy" is one of the main pillars.

Egypt's 2030 Vision

Egypt Vision 2030 focuses on improving the quality of life of the Egyptian citizens and improving their standard of living in various aspects of life by ensuring the consolidation of the principles of justice, social inclusion and the participation of all citizens in political and social life, in conjunction with high, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, enhancing investment in human beings, and building their creativity by promoting increased knowledge, innovation and scientific research in all areas.

Programs and Plans

They include a review of the key development programs as well as the plans that promote the implementation of these programs in their different timeframes, including medium- and short-term plans. These plans are the outcome of an integrated process in which all state agencies actively participated. The Ministry of Planning and Economic Development coordinated the efforts of the state agencies and participated in the prioritization of efforts.
